Fossil steppe bison bone – Bison priscus – 30 cm
€20,00
Impressive fossil bone of a steppe bison (Bison priscus), an extinct bison species that inhabited large parts of Europe and Asia during the Pleistocene.
With a length of approximately 30 cm and a weight of about 1 kg, this is a substantial fossil. The warm brown tones, natural patina, and clearly visible bone structure give the piece a lot of character.
The steppe bison was part of the same Ice Age fauna as the woolly mammoth and woolly rhinoceros. A tangible remnant of the landscape that characterized Europe during the Pleistocene.
